Light, tender cheese pastry enrobed queen-size green olives. We sometimes make these and eat them all ourselves... not all at one time! Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar |
4 1/2 tablespoons melted butter (no substitutions) |
1/2 teaspoon paprika |
3/4 cup all purpose flour |
30 queen-size green olives with pimento, rinsed and dried |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 2. Blend cheese and butter in food processor. 3. Combine flour and paprika. 4. Add to cheese mixture. 5. Pulse until pastry is workable with the fingers. 6. Remove dough from processor. 7. Wrap olives with dough. 8. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until golden. |
