I love to have this on hand as a base for salad dressings, garlic bread, pizza topping, or just garlic flavored olive oil. For salad dressing whisk your favorite vinegar (balsalmic, red wine vinegar...) with a little honey, then add about the same amount of this dipping sauce and you have a wonderful dressing. For garlic bread brush this on slices of bread, broil for 2 - 3 minutes, flip the bread over and brush that side, broil it for an additional 2 minutes, then add shredded parmesan cheese. Yummy! Ingredients:
3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil |
6 minced garlic cloves |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon italian seasoning (or to taste) |
Directions:
1. Combine ingredients and heat in pan until garlic just begins to sizzle. Remove from heat. Store in jar or plastic bottle. Mine keeps fine in the cupboard. |
