Olive Garden Gamberoni Al'aglio |

This recipe is a copycat of Olive Garden's Gamberoni Al'Aglio. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1 medium onion, diced |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
2 lbs shrimp, shelled and deveined |
4 ounces butter |
3/4 cup white wine |
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes |
2 tablespoons fresh basil, minced |
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced |
1 lb angel hair pasta, cooked and drained (should be ready to use at time sauce is complete) |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. Using medium-high heat, warm the oil in a sauté pan and add the onion. Sauté 2 minutes then add the garlic, sautéing 1 minute. Add shrimp and cook 2 minutes additional. 2. Add the butter through parsley and stir until well mixed. Bring sauce to just below a boil. Take one ladle full of sauce without any shrimp and mix with just drained pasta in pasta pan. Plate pasta and then ladle shrimp and more sauce over plated pasta. |
