Olive Garden Bolognese Sauce |

Not a copy cat recipe. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1 onion, finely chopped |
1 carrot, finely chopped |
1 stalk celery, finely chopped |
1/2 lb ground beef |
6 ounces italian sausage, casing removed |
1 cup red wine |
18 ounces crushed tomatoes |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary |
1 teaspoon chopped sage |
salt and pepper |
12 ounces pasta, cooked and drained |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a large sauce pan. 2. Add onion, carrot, and celery, saute over medium low heat 5 minutes. 3. Add beef and sausage, brown over medium heat, breaking up the meat, cook until no longer pink, drain. 4. Add wine, bring to a boil and cook until reduced by half. 5. Add tomatoes, garlic, herbs, salt and pepper and simmer 1 hour. 6. Serve over hot cooked pasta. |
