This is a recipe from my great-grandmother, Agnes Stayton. Obstkuchen is a basic german fruit tart. In this case it uses apples.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
1 pinch salt
lemon rind
1 cup cornstarch
thinly sliced apple
Directions:
1. Cut apples real thin with little sugar and butter and cinnamon.
