This is a recipe from my great-grandmother, Agnes Stayton. Obstkuchen is a basic german fruit tart. In this case it uses apples. Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening |
2 eggs, beaten |
2 cups flour |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 pinch salt |
lemon rind |
1 cup cornstarch |
thinly sliced apple |
Directions:
1. Cut apples real thin with little sugar and butter and cinnamon. |
