Delicious Comfort Food! Ingredients:
easy country chicken pie |
1 1/2 cups good brand biscuit mix |
1 teaspoon black pepper |
11/2 cups milk or buttermilk |
1 stick margarine, melted |
2 pound chicken |
2 cups chicken broth |
1 small onion chopped (optional) |
1/2 cup celery chopped (optional) |
1 can cream of chicken soup |
Directions:
1. Cook chicken until tender. (Add Optional celery & onion last 2. 10 minutes, if used. ) 3. Remove meat from bones and cut into small pieces. 4. Place chicken in greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish. 5. In sauce pan, bring to a boil the broth and soup. 6. Pour over chicken. 7. In a bowl combine biscuit mix, pepper, milk and melted margarine. 8. Spoon batter over top. 9. Bake at 425° for 25 minutes. 10. Serves 6 |
