Rich, moist bars filled with flavorful raspberry preserves. From Land-O-Lakes Cookbook Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup pecans, chopped |
1 cup butter, softened |
1 egg |
10 ounces raspberry preserves |
Directions:
1. heat oven to 350*F. 2. in large mixer bowl combine all ingredients, except preserves. 3. beat at low speed scraping bowl often, until well mixed. 4. reserve 1 1/2 cup mixture and set aside. 5. press remaining mixture into greased 8 in square baking pan. 6. spread preserves to within 1/2 in from edge. 7. crumble reserved 1 1/2 cup mixture over preserves. 8. bake for 40-50 minutes or until lightly browned. 9. cool completely, cut into bars. |
