Old fashioned soft sugar cookies. Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 brown sugar |
1 egg |
3/4 buttermilk |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
topping |
1/4 sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Cream together shortening,salt n brown sugar.Mix in egg then buttermilk and vanilla.Combine the dry ingredients then stir into sugar mixture.Chill one hour.
2. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfulls 2 apart on greased bakig sheet.
3. Combine topping ingredients on top of cookies.
4. Bake at 400 degrees for 7-9 minutes or until set.
5. Make apox 4 dozen cookies
