These remind me of Grandma's! Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened |
1/2 cup butter flavor shortening |
1 cup white sugar |
1 cup brown sugar |
2 eggs |
1 cup creamy peanut butter |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Cream the butter, butter flavored shortening, white sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, until blended. Add peanut butter and vanilla. Add dry ingredients until blended. 2. Drop cookies by tablespoonsful or with a cookie scoop about 3 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Lightly criss-cross with a fork dipped in sugar. 3. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 375 degrees about 8 to 10 minutes until cookies are set and just lightly browned. Do not overbake! Let rest on cookie sheets about 2 minutes before removing to a cooling rack. |
