Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margarine |
1 cup sugar |
3 eggs |
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 cup milk |
dash nutmeg |
coffee cake topping |
Directions:
1. Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. 2. Sift together flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in nutmeg. 3. Spoon mixture into a well-greased and floured 8 1/2- x 4 1/2- x 3-inch loaf pan; sprinkle with topping. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Let cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan. |
