Old Fashioned Rice Pudding |

Ingredients:
2 eggs, beaten |
4 cups milk |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 teaspoon vanilla essence |
1/2 cup raisins (optional) |
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/2 cup uncooked white rice |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300°F. 2. Grease a 2-quart casserole dish. 3. Beat eggs and add milk. 4. Stir in sugar, uncooked rice, butter, vanilla essence, raisins and nutmeg. 5. Pour into the prepared pan. 6. Bake uncovered for 2 1/2 hours and make sure to stir frequently during the first hour. 7. Serve warm/cold as per your choice. |
