Simple homemade pancake recipe for those days you crave pancakes but don't have the premade box stuff. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour |
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 1/4 cups milk or buttermilk |
1 egg |
3 tablespoons butter, melted |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl sift together dry ingredients. 2. Make a well in center and pour in milk, egg and melted butter, mix until smooth. 3. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or pan, I used shortening, medium heat. Pour or ladle batter onto griddle or pan using approx. 1/4 cup for each pancake. 4. Brown on both sides, serve hot. |
