An old recipe of my Great Grandmother...a good old fashioned cookie. Ingredients:
1/2c butter |
1/2c shortening |
1c brown sugar |
1/2c white sugar |
2 eggs, beaten |
1tsp vanilla |
2c all purpose flour |
1tsp baking powder |
1/2tsp baking soda |
1tsp cinnamon |
1/2tsp nutmeg |
1/2tsp allspice |
1/2tsp ground cloves |
1/2tsp salt |
11/2c rasins |
1/2c chopped dates |
1/2c chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and shortening with sugars until light and fluffy. 2. Add eggs, beat well. 3. Sift dry ingredients together. Mix into creamed mixture. 4. Fold in rasins, dates and pecans. 5. Drop onto lined or greased cookie sheet. 6. Bake at 375F for 8-10 mins. |
