Old Fashioned Easy Fresh Peach Pie |

An oldie but goodie. I enjoy the filling with fresh peaches mixed into a cooked peachy filling. Ingredients:
1 9-inch pie shell baked |
3 tablespoons cornstarch |
1 cup sugar ( splenda could be substituted ) |
1 tsp almond or vanilla flavor (optional ) |
1 1/2 cups mashed peaches |
3 fresh peaches -sliced |
1 pint whipping cream whipped |
Directions:
1. Mix the sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. 2. Add the mashed peaches and cook until the mixture reaches the boiling point. and is thickened 3. Cool Completely 4. Sir in flavoring ( optional ) 5. Arrange the sliced peaches in the baked pie shell and pour the mashed peach mixture over the top. 6. Place Mixture n baked pie sheel. 7. Whip cream and spread or pipe decoratively over the top 8. Chill very well before serving 9. Add a dash of grated nutmeg if desired over the top of the pie |
