An old custard pie recipe with so much flavor! Buttermilk, cream, sugar and eggs-how could it NOT be delicious!? Easy to make, too! A long time family favorite!! Enjoy. Ingredients:
1 cup cream |
1 cup milk |
1 cup buttermilk |
3/4 cup white sugar |
2/3 cup brown sugar |
3 tablespoons flour |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
6 egg yolks |
6 egg whites |
2 unbaked pie shells, 9-inch |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Mix first 8 ingredients together. 3. Beat egg whites until stiff. 4. Gently fold egg whites into mixture. 5. Pour evenly into the (2) pie shells. 6. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until pies are set. |
