My favorite soup for a cold winter night. My grown daughter calls me every winter for the recipe. (You would think she would write it down by now!) Ingredients:
1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained |
1 cup chicken broth |
1/4 cup butter or margarine |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 tablespoon chopped onion |
2 cups heavy cream (i use half & half) |
Directions:
1. In crockpot, combine the first 5 ingredients. Add the cream just before serving and warm just until heated through otherwise it might curdle. |
