From my collection of handwritten recipes 1970's. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup brown sugar |
2 eggs |
1/2 cup mixed nuts, chopped |
1/4 cup dates, cut up |
1 tablespoon chopped raisins |
1 tablespoon flaked coconut |
3/4 cup flour |
Directions:
1. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, nuts, dates, raisins, and coconut. Mix well. Add the flour and beat until blended. Bake in a wax-paper-lined 8x8x2 inch baking pan in a moderate oven, 350*, for 40 minutes. While still warm, cut into 2- inch squares. |
