Directions:
1. In a large bowl sift together: 2 cup flour, 1 tbsp baking pd, 1.5 tbsp sugar, & .25 tsp salt. cut in 1/3 cup butter and stir in 3/4 cup milk. knead a little and divide into 2 parts and pat each to the bottom of 8 inch cake pans and brush with melted butter. bake and 425 for 15-20 min. let cakes cool for 15 min and then remove them.
2. wash and slice 3 cups ripe strawberries and sprinkle with sugar, reserve 10-15 for garnish. whip 1 cup cream (add 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tbsp powdered sugar)
