This recipe was a family tradition! I just loved the way my mother madr this cake. Ingredients:
1/2 lb butter |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
5 -6 eggs |
2 cups sifted flour |
1 pinch mace |
1 -2 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Cream shortening and sugar. 2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. 3. Add the remaining ingredients. 4. Bake in a greased bundt pan in a preheated 350 degree oven. 5. Bake for 45 to 60 min (1 hour is best). 6. Chocolate powder can be added to half of mixture and swirled in to make a marble cake. |
