Best when served warm. Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
3/4 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
1/4 cup cocoa |
1/2 cup milk |
2 tablespoons melted shortening |
1 teaspoon shortening |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 3/4 cups hot water |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, salt, milk, shortening, & vanilla. 2. Blend until smooth. 3. Pour cake mixture into ungreased 9 square pan (use 9x13 if doubled). 4. In small mixing bowl, mix brown sugar, cocoa & water. Pour over batter. 5. Bake for 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees. |
