Great alone with some corn bread or served over rice. Throw in some peeled shrimp or other shellfish for a heavier meal. Ingredients:
2 (16 ounce) cans corn |
2 (16 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes |
1 (16 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 lb frozen cut okra |
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes |
1/4 teaspoon sugar |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a Dutch oven. 2. Simmer for 15 min on low heat until thoroughly heated. |
