Standard cocktail fare, spiced up and a touch of sweetness to temper the heat. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted |
1 tbsp of worchestershire sauce |
1/4 tsp of ground cumin |
1/2 tsp of garlic powder |
1/4 tsp of cayenne powder |
2 tsp of sugar |
3/4 tsp of tony cachere's cajun seasoning, or your favorite cajun seasoning |
1 1/2 cups of unsalted roasted cashews |
1 tbsp of coarse salt |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 2. Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. 3. Add the remaining ingredients except the nuts and the coarse salt. 4. Simmer over low heat for a few minutes to meld the flavors. 5. Add the nuts and stir until coated. 6. Spread on baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, stir the nuts occasionally. 7. Toss the nuts with coarse sea salt and let cool. 8. Store in an airtight container, if they last that long....past cocktail hour. |
