Oh my god, This was my first time cooking ribs indoors, and it was amazing. It took several hours to make, but it was sooo simple. Some boiling and baking, that was it. I put it all on one big plate and my boyfriend and I chowed down. Ingredients:
2 1/2 lb. country style pork ribs, not lean |
2 cloves garlic, cut in half |
freshly cracked black peppercorns |
salt |
soy sauce |
big pot of water |
1 med. onion, coarsely chopped |
bar-b-que sauce, desired amount |
Directions:
1. On each side of the rib slab, rub one clove of garlic (that has been halved), 2. and press pepper and salt into the meat and drizzle with soy sauce 3. Cut ribs into 3-5 bone pieces and place in a large pot 4. add chopped onion and garlic pieces to the pot 5. Cover with water, bring to a boil 6. Let simmer, uncovered, for 1 hours 7. Remove from heat, cover, let stand 3-5 hours in the water marinade. 8. Heat oven to 300 9. Drain ribs on paper towels, discard the onion and garlic 10. Transfer ribs to a baking pan and coat with bar-b-que sauce 11. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour 12. *After 40 minutes of cooking in the oven I add more sauce and re-cover the ribs. 13. The meat literally falls right off the bone. |
