Like a scotcharoo or an Oh Henry Bar, these sweet treats are sure to please. They can be made in less than 20 minutes (including chill time!) and use ingredients I always have on-hand. Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1 cup corn syrup |
1 cup peanut butter (crunchy or smooth, either one) |
1 cup peanuts (i use salted and i don't chop them up at all) |
3 cups rice krispies |
1 cup chocolate chips |
1 cup butterscotch chips |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar and corn syrup in a large microwavable bowl. Cook in microwave for two minutes. 2. Add peanut butter and peanuts and cook one more minute. 3. Stir in cereal to completely combine. 4. Press into a greased 9x13. 5. In a small microwave-safe bowl, layer chocolate chips and butterscotch chips and melt until creamy and smooth. Spread evenly over peanut butter/cereal layer. Chill in the fridge for 10 minutes. Cut into 1 1/2 inch squares. |
