Waffles that are healthier and full of fibre. All-purpose flour can be replaced with whole wheat flour. Ingredients:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup wheat germ |
1 1/4 cup oatmeal |
4 tsp baking powder |
1 tbsp cinnamon |
1 tbsp allspice |
1 egg |
4 tbsp tofu, okara |
4 tbsp vegetable oil |
1 tbsp sugar |
1 tbsp vanilla extract |
2 cups milk, 2 |
1/4 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Sift dry ingredients together in a large bowl. 2. Mix the rest of the ingredients except raisins in a separate bowl. 3. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry. 4. Fold in raisins. 5. Cook using a waffle iron. |
