Ingredients:
1/2 cup margarine, softened |
1/2 cup shortening |
1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 large eggs |
2 tablespoons water |
2 tablespoons light corn syrup |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/8 teaspoon ginger |
1 1/2 cups flour, unsifted |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
3 cups oats, old fashioned |
1 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Cream margarine, shortening, sugars, eggs, corn syrup, water and vanilla; beat well. 2. Combine flour, baking soda, spices and salt; add to creamed mixture. 3. Beat well; stir in oats and raisins. 4. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. 5. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. 6. Cool slightly on sheet before removing to cooling racks. |
