A wonderful cookie that melts in your mouth!! Ingredients:
1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine |
2 cups brown sugar, packed |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 1/2 cups raisins |
3 cups quaker oats |
1/2 cup water |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350°F. 2. Cream butter and sugar, then add vanilla. 3. Sift together flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Stir in raisins. 4. Add dry ingredients to butter sugar mixture. Stir well. 5. Add oats and water. Mix well. 6. Drop by rounded teaspoonsful onto greased baking sheet. Bake 10-15 minutes or until centre starts to dry. Cool 1 minute on baking sheet, then cool on wire rack. 7. Store in covered container. |
