Oatmeal Porridge With A Twist |

This oatmeal porridge raises the bar. It has that little bit extra that adds flavour and sweetness. I just made it up in a creative moment, and my family loved it. Ingredients:
1 c. rolled oats |
2 c. water |
1 tsp cinnamon |
1/2 tsp nutmeg |
3 tbsp canned pure pumpkin |
1 tbsp brown sugar |
optional: extra brown sugar and milk or cream |
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to pot 2. Bring to boil 3. Turn down heat and keep on low boil until mixture thickens 4. Sprinkle with a little extra brown sugar on top, and milk (my daughter likes the porridge straight, I like it with a little milk, and cream is even better if you are feeling decadent. |
