Oatmeal Pie tastes like pecan pie. Sprinkle with nuts before serving, if desired. Ingredients:
4 eggs |
1 cup flaked coconut |
1 1/2 cups dark corn syrup |
1 1/2 cups white sugar |
1/2 cup margarine, melted |
1 3/4 cups rolled oats |
1 3/4 cups evaporated milk |
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie |
Directions:
1. Mix eggs, corn syrup, and sugar. Add milk, melted margarine, coconut, and oatmeal. Pour into two 9-inch pie shells. 2. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) until brown. |
