I came across this recipe when I was 12 years old qnd made it for my stepdad. His favorite pie is pecan and he couldn't believe how good this was. Ingredients:
2 eggs, slightly beaten |
2/3 c. melted butter |
2/3 c. white corn syrup |
1 t. brown sugar |
2/3 c. oatmeal |
1 tsp vanilla |
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust |
Directions:
1. In a med bowl, combine eggs, butter, corn syrup, brown sugar, oatmeal, and vanilla; mix well. 2. Pour into unbaked pie crust. 3. Bake at 350° for 45 min, or until firm. 4. Serve topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping |
