1/2 cup butter, softened |
1/2 cup shortening |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup packed brown sugar |
2 eggs |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 1/4 cups quick-cooking oats |
1 cup chopped nuts |
72 milk chocolate hershey chocolate kisses |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 2. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, shortening and sugars. 3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. 4. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. 5. Stir in oats and nuts. 6. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. 7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. 8. Immediately press a chocolate kiss in the center of each cookie. 9. Remove to wire racks. |
