I love to bake cookies and love this combination of oats, nuts and chocolate. Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened |
1 cup packed brown sugar |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup splenda |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
3 cups quick-cooking oats |
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
3/4 cup raisins |
3/4 cup walnuts or pecans - chopped |
1 cup mini chocolate chips, reese's pieces, m&m's, carob chips, butterscotch chips... you get the idea. = ) |
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the oats, flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in raisins, nuts and candy. Scoop dough by tablespoonfuls and roll into a ball. Place dough balls 2 in. apart on greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool. |
