Soft and Chewy If dough appears to be dry press scooped cookies flat before baking, or add some milk. Ingredients:
2 lbs butter |
2 lbs shortening |
8 lbs brown sugar |
2 ounces vanilla |
16 eggs |
6 lbs pastry flour |
3 1/2 ounces baking powder |
2 ounces baking soda |
1 1/4 ounces salt |
16 ounces milk |
5 lbs rolled oats |
4 lbs craisins |
Directions:
1. Soften butter, in mixing bowl cream smooth 1-4 [not fluffy], gradually add tempered eggs, then add sifted 6-9, then add 10-12 until uniform texture and color, do not over mix. |
