Chewy, and packed full of goodies! Ingredients:
1/2 cup vegetable shortening |
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine |
3/4 cup packed brown sugar |
1/3 cup granulated sugar |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 cups rolled oats |
1 cup raisins |
1 cup chopped dates |
1 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. In medium mixing bowl cream shortening, butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar. 2. Add egg and vanilla extract. 3. Beat until light and fluffy. 4. Add flour, soda, salt and oats. 5. Mix well. 6. Stir in raisins, dates, and chopped nuts. 7. Drop by heaping teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheets. 8. Bake in preheated 325F degrees CONVECTION OVEN for 12-15 minutes or bake in preheated 350F degrees RADIANT BAKE OVEN for 12-15 minutes , or until light golden brown. 9. Repeat with remaining dough. 10. Cool on wire racks. |
