Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies |

This is an easy and tasty recipe for oatmeal cookies. You can adapt with mix-ins of your choosing. I prefer chocolate to raisins, but craisins and white chocolate are also good. Adapted from Crisco Ultimate Oatmeal Cookie recipe. Ingredients:
3/4 c butter-flavored crisco |
1 1/4 c dark brown-sugar, packed |
1/3 c milk |
1 egg |
1 1/2 tsp vanilla |
1 c ap flour |
1/2 tsp baking soda |
1/2 tsp salt |
3 c quick oats (not instant) |
1/2 c chocolate chips |
1/2 cup m&ms |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375oF. 2. Cream together crisco and brown-sugar. Mix in egg, milk, and vanilla. 3. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix in oats. 4. Add oat mixture to sugar mixture and mix well to combine. 5. Stir in chocolate chips and M&Ms. 6. Bake on a parchment lined baking sheet (or one that's been coated with non-stick spray). Drop spoonfuls approximately 2 apart on cookie sheet. 7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes (I usual do 10 because I like them chewy). |
