A deluxe oatmeal made in ramekins with a brown sugar topping. Ingredients:
2 cups water |
1 dash salt |
1 cup quick oats |
2 tablespoons half-and-half |
4 tablespoons brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat broiler. 2. In a saucepan over high heat, bring water to boiling. 3. Stir in salt and oats; lower heat to medium-low and cook, uncovered, for about 3-4 minutes or until mixture is thick, stirring occasionally. 4. Stir in half-and-half. 5. Spoon mixture into 4 buttered ramekins. 6. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon brown sugar over each serving. 7. Broil for about 2-3 minutes or until sugar is bubbly and melted. 8. Serve with additional half-and-half if desired. |
