I just love the smell of freshly baked bread,that alone is enough to create warm cozy thoughts and memories, but I bet the taste of this bread is just heavenly! 8) Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 cup quick oats |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
6 tablespoons softened butter |
2 slightly beaten eggs |
1 cup milk |
1/4 cup light corn syrup |
1 cup blueberries |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350. 2. Grease a nd flour a 9x5x3 loafpan. 3. In a large mixing bowl,combine the first 7 ingredients. 4. Cut in butter,blend until mixute resembles coarse meal. 5. Mix the milk,eggs& corn syrup,combining well. 6. Add to first mixture. 7. Stir just until it is all moistened. 8. Add in berries. 9. Pour the batter in the loafpan. 10. Bake 1 hour,10 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out clean. 11. When done,let bread cool for at least 10 minutes before removing. 12. Let cool on wire rack. |
