This is great in the morning hot or cold. I was at my cousins house, and she served this as a side for breakfast. It is so good, my 2 year old even eats it!
Ingredients:
3 cups oatmeal
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk
1/2 cup applesauce
1/2 cup nuts, and raisins- your choice and (optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F, grease a 9x13 baking dish.
2. In large bowl mix, oatmeal, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
3. In a small bowl, mix eggs, vanilla, milk and apple sauce.
4. Gradually mix together, do not over mix.
5. When full mixed add in nut mixture.
6. Pour in greased pan, bake for 20-30 or until knife comes out clean.
7. Cut into squares and serve hot with milk or cold on it's own.
