I have not tried this recipe. I'm posting this recipe for safe keeping. Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 cup packed brown sugar |
3/4 cup old fashioned oats |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
1 cup crisp rice cereal |
1/2 cup butter, softened |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda and baking powder. In a 1-quart glass container, layer the flour mixture, brown sugar, oats, pecans and rice cereal, packing well between each layer. Cover and store in a cool dry place up to 6 months. (1 batch (about 4 cups total). 2. To Prepare Cookies:. 3. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add the cookie mix and mix well. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inch apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 2 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks. |
