this is great as an afternoon snack or even as a breakfast bar. Ingredients:
1 (390 g) can condensed milk |
3 cups rolled oats (not instant) |
1 1/2 cups shredded coconut |
1 cup dried cranberries |
100 g mixed seeds (eg pumpkin, sunflower) |
100 g mixed nuts (eg pine nuts, almonds) |
1 cup unsalted peanuts |
Directions:
1. Pre heat oven 130'c and lightly grease 2 (20x30cm) bakeing tins. 2. Slightly warm condensed milk in large microwave prof dish. 3. Add all ingredients to the warmed condensed milk, using a wooden spoon mix well, evenly coating dry ingredients. 4. Divide mixture into 2 baking trays, spread mixture evenly and using a piece of baking paper press down firmly with hands. 5. Bake for 1 hour. 6. Leave to cool for aprox 15 min then cut into pieces apox 5cm square, let cool compleatly before packing up in an airtight container. |
