Easy, delicious and heart healthy to boot, made with all natural butter and rich walnuts and almonds. Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats |
1/2 cup packed brown sugar |
1 tsp cornstarch |
1 tsp baking powder |
1/4 cup finely chopped, toasted walnuts |
1/4 cup finely chopped, toasted almonds |
1/3 cup butter, melted |
1 tbsp vanilla |
2 tbsp water |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF, line cookie sheets with parchment paper (do not grease). 2. Mix oats, brown sugar, cornstarch, baking powder, and nuts together. 3. Add butter, vanilla and water to oat mixture; mix well. 4. Drop teaspoonfuls of batter onto prepared cookie sheets, flattening each slightly. 5. Bake 8 to 12 minutes. 6. Cool on cookie sheets 2 minutes, then move to a cooling rack |
