Found in the 100 Best Appetizers Cookbook which was given to me by MaField during the 2008 Cookbook Swap. I have not tried this recipe yet but wanted to share it with you. Ingredients:
10 ounces frozen chopped broccoli |
4 ounces cream cheese |
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated |
1 teaspoon dried basil |
1/4 cup walnuts |
1 loaf frozen garlic bread |
Directions:
1. Cook broccoli either on the stovetop or microwave then drain well. 2. Preheat oven to 400°F. 3. Place broccoli, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese and basil in food processor or blender; process until ingredients are mixed (do not overmix). Add walnuts; process 3 to 5 seconds. 4. Split garlic bread lengthwise. 5. Spread broccoli mixture evenly over the bread. 6. Bake 10-15 minutes or until bread is toasted and broccoli is heated through. 7. Cut bread into slices and serve hot. |
