Nice baked squash with the taste of brown sugar,nuts and butter. Yum! Ingredients:
2 acorn squash |
2/3c cracker crumbs |
1/3c coarsely chopped pecans |
1/3c butter or margarine,melted |
3tbs brown sugar |
1/2tsp salt |
1/4tsp nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Cut squash in half-remove seeds and fibers. Mix all ingredients together and spoon 1/4 of mixture into each half. Put water in a baking dish(big enough to hold 4 halves) to 1/4: depth Put in squash and cover with foil. 2. Bake at 400 for 30 mins. or till tender. |
