Yummy snack - my Mom made these for many years before Chex ever put a Chex Mix recipe on the box! I think these are better! I am going to add some garlic pepper this year, I think. Ingredients:
6 t margarine |
2 t worecestershire |
1 1/2 t seasoned salt |
3/4 t garlic powder |
1/2 t onion powder |
3 c. each, corn, rice, and wheat chex |
1 c. mixed nuts |
1 c. bite size pretzels |
1 c. garlic flavored bagle chips |
Directions:
1. Stir together in large mixing bowl: cereal, nuts, pretzels and bagel chips; set aside 2. Heat oven to 250 3. Line large baking sheet or jelly roll pan with foil 4. While oven is heating, melt margarine on foil lined pan 5. Remove from oven and stir in seasonings 6. Sprinkle cereal mixture over butter mixture, and stir until coated 7. Return to oven. 8. Bake for one hour, stirring/turning every 15 minutes 9. Lay paper towels across section of counter 10. Place baked nuts and bolts on paper towels to cool to soak up any leftover margarine, etc. 11. Store in airtight container |
