The perfect fall side dish for any steak and made with real potatoes: festive nutmeg-flavored mashed potato. Ingredients:
4 large potatoes |
1/4 cup butter |
2 teaspoons ground nutmeg, or to taste |
2 teaspoons salt, or to taste |
1/2 cup sour cream |
Directions:
1. Place potatoes into a large pot and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until potatoes are tender and split open, about 20 minutes. Drain and return potatoes to pot. 2. Mash potatoes with butter, nutmeg, and salt using a potato masher or fork until well incorporated; stir in sour cream until mashed potatoes are creamy. |
