Faye's recipe Ingredients:
4 cups white sugar or 4 cups brown sugar |
1 1/2 cups karo syrup |
1 cup hot water |
2 egg whites, beaten |
vanilla |
1 cup nuts |
Directions:
1. Mix sugar, karo, and hot water. 2. boil until when tested in cold water it will crack. 3. pour over beaten whites of 2 eggs, stirring constantly. 4. until it is very stiff. 5. add vanilla and 1 cup nuts. 6. pour in pan or make into loaf. |
