This nut filling is for Danish Pastries. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup blanched almonds or hazelnuts |
1 1/2 cup sugar |
3 tsp cinnamon |
3 x eggs |
1 1/2 tsp vanilla |
3/4 cup butter, softened |
Directions:
1. Grind the blanched almonds or hazelnuts. Add sugar and cinnamon and mix. 2. Add butter and mix. Add egg and vanilla and mix. If necessary, thin with a little milk to spreading consistency. Butter may be omitted for a less rich filling. |
