Great appetizer idea from the Marlboro Country Cookbook Morning Fires, Evening Lights (Philip Morris, Inc, 1998). Ingredients:
8 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese |
8 ounces cream cheese |
1 tbs dried chopped chives |
1 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce |
1/2 tsp lemon juice |
tabasco sauce |
paprika |
nuts |
Directions:
1. Beat together cheddar cheese, cream cheese, chives, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and a dash of Tabasco sauce. Pack into a serving crock; sprinkle with paprika and nuts. (such as pecans) Refrigerate. Serve with assorted crackers. |
