Another does it need a recipe , but, maybe someone does! It's so easy to over cook corn, but when you are lucky enough to get it fresh from the farmer or garden, it'd be a shame to over cook. Ingredients:
8 ears fresh corn on the cob, shucked and trimmed |
water enough to fill large pot |
salt, parsley and butter(for after corn is cooked---never salt the water) |
Directions:
1. Fill large pot 3/4 full with cold water and bring to a boil. 2. Immediately add corn and cook for just about 5 minutes. 3. You do not need to wait for water to reboil UNLESS you are only able to cook half the corn at a time due to pan size. If so, once first batch is done, reboil water then add second. 4. Remove from water and serve immediately with butter, salt and parsley as garnish, if desired. |
