Not Yo Mama’s Sausage Balls |

This is a kicked up version of the old sausage balls. Ingredients:
3 cups bisquick baking mix |
1 1/2 lbs italian sausage, uncooked (casings removed) |
1 teaspoon garlic, minced |
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped |
4 cups cheddar cheese, shredded |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated |
1/2 cup half-and-half cream |
1 pinch dried rosemary |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper or 1/8 teaspoon tabasco sauce |
seasoning salt |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F. 2. Line a large baking sheet with foil, then spray lightly with cooking spray. 3. In a large bowl mix the Bisquick baking mix with uncooked sausage meat, parsley, garlic shredded cheese, Parmesan cheese, half and half pinch dried rosemary and black pepper. 4. Using clean hands mix until well combined. 5. Season with cayenne and salt. 6. Shape into about 1-inch balls and place onto the baking sheet. 7. At this point you can freeze them on a tray then place into ziploc bags to bake later. 8. Bake for about 20 minutes or until browned. 9. remove from pan and place on a serving platter with a toothpick inserted. 10. Serve warm with dipping sauce. |
